  • More about Activities and Classes

Activities out of a school setting for kids are very important. You find that children really gain confidence and develop their personalities whether they are in a club or partaking in lessons. Essential skills like team work and hand eye co-ordination are benefits that kids gain and never forget.

With all activities and classes we advise calling beforehand to check times and costs. Some activities have a waiting list or require advance payment so, again, worth checking! Also ask if you can come along to try the class before committing to a number of sessions.

Below are just some of the activities that are available. Get up and get out there like our mascot Hairy Harry!

    Academic Tutoring

Hopping and jumping are completely normal for children. It keeps them amused and healthy. Trampoline promotes muscle co-ordination, a sense of balance and stability in the body. Bouncing creates a pump effect, which positively affects muscles, bone density and metabolism. A NASA study back in the eighties showed that Trampoline is 3 times more effective than jogging. Ten minutes of bouncing results in the same results as thirty minutes of running.

Yoga is a wonderful way for children to learn focus and control in a fun way using tradional yoga poses.  Often using music and stories with the poses within the classes and it's an activity you can even do together at home.  It can also aid relaxation just as it does for grown-ups!
